A WARM WELCOME TO ST RICHARD’S CATHOLIC COLLEGE
Paul Barber
Principal
On behalf of our school community, welcome to the website of St. Richard’s Catholic College, a high achieving, happy and welcoming school for pupils of all abilities aged between 11 and 16 years.
This is a school where everyone is encouraged to strive to be the best we can be, living every day to make the very most of our opportunities and with the example of Christ at our core. We work hard, we look after each other and we nurture each other’s talents and that’s true whether you’re a child or a member of staff. Together we make St. Richard’s a place we love to come to and we learn together.
For me, this nurturing begins with the highest of expectations. We wear our uniform with pride, we behave appropriately and with consideration, we treat each other with respect and love and, crucially, we are active members of our community, living out our faith with commitment and enjoyment. We also work hard and give our best to our studies.
We also have a reputation for the highest academic standards. Pupils at our school are supported to reach their considerable potential so that they open up choices for their next steps and grow into the opportunities that come with working to their best and trying their hardest.
Everyone at our school is precious and on a journey unique to them. Our role here is to guide, support, challenge and ensure that our school is a place they feel they belong.
I think the school is truly special and hope that the website gives you a true sense of that atmosphere.
With every best wish,
Paul Barber
